Montverde Academy Inc.

Montverde Academy Inc., as the name suggests, is located in Montverde, Florida. This college preparatory, coeducational independent school was founded in 1912, providing quality education to students from Grades PK3-12. It also offers a highly rated boarding program for grades 7-12, along with a wide range of academic support services to university bound students.

An average class at Montverde Academy Inc. is made up of 15 students, and given 12 Advanced Placement Courses to choose from. Montverde students are more than adequately prepared for college/university work throughout the United States and elsewhere. English as a Second Language courses are also provided for international students whose English skills may need improvement.

Montverde Academy Inc. offers a challenging curriculum as well as outstanding enrichment opportunities through elective classes. Students of the school are also exposed to a variety of options in fields such as performing and fine arts, music, sports and other extra-curricular activities. Both its basketball and baseball programs are consistently ranked nationally, and many athletes continue to compete at university level.

The student body is as diverse as its classes, with over 40 different nationalities represented among those who board at the Academy. The students are housed in dormitories, along with dormitory parents. Every student has one roommate and roommates are chosen with consideration to age, nationality and interests. Other facilities include a chapel, a science building, a 200-seat dining facility, as well as internet accessible classrooms, dormitories, library, and an infirmary. There is also a 500-seat Performing Arts Center, a photography studio with darkrooms, and a chorus room.
