More Information on New York

Ivy Ridge Academy presents each student with an academic curriculum that is progressive, individualized and competency based. This approach allows the student to work at their own pace thus improving the learning process. Students are less likely to be held back by others in class,  teacher's schedules, or class availability.

At Ivy Ridge Academy student's transcripts are evaluated upon admission to the school. Then, the student is assisted in designing an ambitious course of study.  A large selection of required and elective classes are offered and the program is a performance based. Students are able to complete required credits and even earn advanced credits in English, Math, Science, History, Physical Education and a wide variety of elective classes.

Students receive credit when they demonstrate that they have mastered the subject matter. The academic program at the Ivy Ridge Academy has been designed to work successfully for students preparing for college as well as the learning-disabled student.

While the Academy at Ivy Ridge provides an independent study system that allows the student to accelerate their credits and academic competency, the school does not award credits for time in class. We only award credit for work completed and competency achieved. We cannot ensure how quickly a student will recieve credits, if any.
